About District Governor - Ronald

Ronald "Ronnie" Dy

District Governor for RY 2026-2027

Ronald "Ronnie" Dy

Governor Ronald S. Dy is a Filipino architect, urban design specialist, civic leader, and dedicated Rotarian who currently serves as District Governor of Rotary International District 3790 for Rotary Year 2026–2027. In this role, he provides leadership and guidance to Rotary clubs across Northwest and Central Luzon, helping coordinate service projects, strengthen club development, and advance Rotary's global mission of "Service Above Self."

Professionally, PP Ronald is a proud Thomasian who earned his Bachelor of Science in Architecture and his Master of Science in Architecture, major in Urban Design, from the University of Santo Tomas, and holds a Diploma in Restaurant Management from the De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde. Raised by Victor and Aurora Dy in a family where community service was a way of life, he has carried that same spirit of service into a career and a Rotary journey defined by a belief that true leadership is built on collaboration—involving people, empowering them, and working together for the common good.

As District Governor, PP Ronald oversees district-wide programs that support the key focus areas of Rotary International, including disease prevention and treatment, basic education and literacy, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, community economic development, and environmental sustainability. He leads leadership training programs, district assemblies, and official club visits to strengthen collaboration among Rotarians, Rotaractors, and community partners across the district.

A member of the Rotary Club of San Fernando, La Union, since 2001, PP Ronald has served Rotary in numerous leadership roles before assuming the district's highest office. Among his lasting contributions are the design and construction of the club's Rotary Service Center and his leadership of the construction committee for the San Fernando City Septage Treatment Plant—a landmark 450,000-dollar Rotary 3H Grant project completed in 2012 in partnership with USAID and the Local Government Unit of San Fernando. As Club President in Rotary Year 2019–2020, he led his club to become the Number One Club in District 3790, first in both membership growth and Rotary Foundation giving, welcoming twenty-two new members and raising 46,383 US dollars for The Rotary Foundation while championing the Human Milk Bank Global Grant and the Water for Life project.

A seven-time District Rotarian of the Year and an Outstanding Rotarian of the District, PP Ronald is a Major Donor Level 2 of The Rotary Foundation and a member of the Paul Harris Society, the Bequest Society Level 2, and the Membership Society Silver Level, and has received Rotary International's prestigious Avenues of Service Award. Through both his professional career and his Rotary leadership, he continues to champion projects that improve lives, inspire volunteerism, and build stronger communities throughout the district and beyond.
